Early hours of Wednesday, rap’s fastest-rising star, BigXthaPlug was arrested in Texas for possession of marijuana. The singer was charged to court and subsequently taken behind bars at the Arlington City Jail.
The 22-year-old rapper was reportedly driving with expired tags in Arlington, Texas and was pulled over by the police. When the officer approached the vehicle, he reportedly perceived some smells of marijuana, which prompted him to search the vehicle.
During the search, the police found cigarettes and a suspicious green substance in the vehicle and at closer observation, it was realized to be marijuana. Also, the police reportedly found a handgun in the passenger door pocket, which escalated the situation.
BigXthaPlug was not alone in the vehicle, with him was Cleodist Landum, a 22-year-old who was identified to be BigX’s relative.
According to reports from various sources, Cleodist Landum had a current felony warrant out of Bexar County, Texas. He was also found with more marijuana in his possession. Consequently, He was booked into the Arlington City Jail on the warrant, as well as unlawful possession of a weapon of marijuana.
BigXthaPlug made headlines with his latest music release a few hours before he was arrested. His arrest further propelled his name into the spotlight. Fans and well-wishers are concerned about the impact of the arrest on his music career as he is still trying to gain more momentum in the music arena.
