Afrobeats superstar Ahmed Ololade, better known as Asake, has reconciled with his ailing father, Fatai Odunsi. In a heartfelt gesture, he promised to buy a house for his dad and take care of his medical expenses.
Mr Udunsi confirmed this in a recent video uploaded, following the uproar he recently raised on social media about his son Asaka who he alleged abandoned him amidst his ill health.
Asake’s father has expressed his distress, revealing that his health has been declining since 2022. He claims that the singer has not been there for him during this tough time, despite having accumulated significant wealth and success in his career.
In a quick response, the “Lonely at the Top” singer dismissed the accusation with a cryptic social media post, delivering his message in Yoruba.
He said: “You can’t please everyone, you can’t please the world. But anything you are doing, just do it for God.
“My own father wants to cajole me, and I have sent so much money to him. I have struggled for so many years, but they want to make life tire me.”
The fallout from the recrimination stirred up quite a buzz on social media, prompting many fans and internet users to rally around the father, while others chose to side with the artist.
