VDM took to his Instagram to react to his purported arrest warrant issued yesterday, March 13th, 2025, following his inability to submit himself to the authority as ruled by the court on March 5th, 2025.

The activist who recently announced that he is on a partnership and business trip in China earlier today dares the operatives to arrest him at the airport when he arrives in Nigeria, adding “I no send anybody papa”.

“I dey come Naija very soon make una ready to arrest me for airport. Arrest no be new thing for the Ratel an” he wrote.

VDM’s arrest warrant follows his social media remarks against gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo who has been battling with her former record label boss Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, commonly known as Eezee Tee, over alleged contractual breach and diversion of over $345,000 royalties.

VeryDarkMan had backed Eezee Tee up in his position against Mercy Chinwo and also accused her of telling lies and falsely pretending to be the victim in the case. VDM made several submissions on the subject against Mercy, which she claimed portrayed her personality in a bad light before the well-meaning public.

Mercy in turn filed a lawsuit against VDM, she submitted relevant documents and receipts to back her claims on what transpired between her and Eezee Tee. Chief Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja, therefore summoned VDM to appear before the court, giving him a bench mark of 13th March 2025, which he failed.

VeryDarkMan’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, had planned to represent his client but was ultimately turned away.
