Highly talented Nigerian songstress Ayra Starr, is set to take the world by storm again as she announces readiness to release her new music album titled “the year I turned 21.”
Ayra Starr made the disclosure via her official X handle yesterday, when she shared the official art cover for the forthcoming album alongside the tracklist.
According to the tracklist which she unveiled yesterday, the 15-track album is set to be released on the 31st of May 2024 as she simply captioned the photos with the album title and release date while sharing a presave link to the forthcoming album.

“—05/31—” she wrote.
Upon it’s release, “the year I turned 21” will be Ayra Starr’s second music album since her debut in the music industry in 2019 and will feature five guest appearances including local and international artists.
Two of her earlier released hit singles “Commas” and “Rhythm and Blues” will also be featured in the forthcoming album.
According to the tracklist, the album will feature Nigerian sensational singer Asake otherwise known as Mr Money with the Vibe, Brazilian singer and songwriter Anitta and American singer-songwriter and actress Coco Jones.
Other guest appearances on the sophomore album will be American R&B singer Giveon Dezmann Evans known simply as Giveon, Nigerian singer, Seyi Vibes and Ayra Starr’s brother, Milar who was activated into the Mavins record label in 2022.

21-year old Ayra Starr, signed to the Mavins record label, had previously made history with the release of her debut album “19 and Dangerous” in 2021.
This set the singer on a fast track in her musical career as she quickly penetrated the hearts of many music listeners across the globe thereby becoming a household name in the industry.
Sequel to the album’s success, Ayra Starr has had several notable local and international collaborations which further spurred her meteoric rise in the industry and eventually saw her release the most listened song on Spotify in Nigeria in 2024.
With the title “Commas,” the hit single further presented Ayra Starr as another force to reckon with in the industry.
Moreso, her announcement for a forthcoming album release has got fans thrilled as they eagerly anticipate the release.
Recall that Ayra Starr also proved her worth in the global music scene early February when she made an appearance at the 66th Grammy Awards, where her hit single Rush received a nomination for Best African Music Performance, alongside tracks from industry heavyweights such as Davido, Burna Boy, Asake & Olamide, and South African sensation, Tyla.
Meanwhile, Mavins record label boss and renowned music producer, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has remained focused on his musical endeavors despite recent social media drama.
Disregarding distractions, Don Jazzy took to his platform to unveil the impending release of Ayra Starr’s new album sharing the album’s cover art and expressing excitement for its upcoming launch.
He wrote, “Incoming #TYIT21 the album by @ayrastarr.”
