Amidst the shocking news of Nollywood actor, Junior Pope’s unfortunate demise, a popular Facebook celebrity from the middle belt region in Nigeria identified as Krayzeetee Atu Terver, yesterday expressed disappointment while alleging that the nollywood actor faked his death.
Krayzeetee made the claims while loads of uncertainties beclouded the actual condition of the nollywood actor’s case which quickly went viral on the media space Thursday evening.
According to him, Junior Pope had allegedly faked his death to regain attention to himself just like a fellow Nigerian singer Oladips had done early this year.
Krayzeetee lamented the act while stating that there are several other strategies that could be employed by celebrities who may have fallen off track to get back into the limelight.
He further noted that the actor had lost a fan in him as a result of the alleged misdeed.
In a now deleted Facebook post, the Benue born social media influencer wrote:
“Dear Junior pope,
“There are many ways of Bringing yourself Back to thelimelight but faking your de@th? Like seriously?
“For the record, you are not more than any of thiscelebrities that died, neither are you going to live foreverbut to d#e one Day like the rest of them.
“I use to respect you so much but faking your de@th togain attention is the least I expected from you. No matterhow you package this, you still know the truth.
“I was a fan but you just lost me with this new Strategy. I hate fake Nigas and you just proved to be one.
“Imagine using My emotions to catch cruise for wetin? Abeg make I go sitdown somewhere make the comments pile up first. Las las na My Mind I talk ah no Kee pesin.
“This is coming from a lost fan.”
However, his opinion was not well accepted by many internet users who took to the comments section to lambast the “Facebook celebrity” for making such comments which they described as nuisance especially as many thought that Junior Pope’s case was too sensitive to utter negative comments about.
In a Facebook post sequel to Krayzeetee’s, Big Smart Oche, a popular Nigerian hypeman who also hails from the middle belt and particularly Benue state, rebuffed Krayzeetee for his comments.
Sharing a screenshot of his post, Oche wrote, “Krazie T, hope you’ll tender an open apology to his family and fans. I felt soo offended by this post. He’s now confirmed dead!!!!! Watchuuu gon say?”
In another post, he discouraged the spread of false news by social media users especially Krayzeetee who he said is his son. But this was after Krayzeetee had also lamented the manner with which he was being corrected by the popular hypeman stating that it was also disrespectful.
Oche wrote, “Let’s be civil and calculative with our post. I can’t say otherwise, if you feel you posted what’s wrong, declare him dead and we move on. You’re my son and I can talk to you however I want. Krazie”
Nollywood actor Junior Pope, was yesterday reported to have died alongside three others after their boat reportedly capsized on the Niger river shortly after a movie shoot in Delta state, Nigeria.
While the whole city was thrown into tantrums and eulogies filled the social space by fans and other Nollywood creatives, several news outlets reported that the veteran actor was alive and receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
This caused confusion as many no longer knew what to believe and what not to since news stories about his death continued to surface on the media space concurrently with that of his revival.
The veteran actor was however, later confirmed dead after efforts to revive him through some rituals that were considered necessary proved futile.
