He explained that Sanusi and Salisu were rescued unconscious and later gave up the ghost subsequently.
The PRO emphasised that the service had commenced investigation into the cause of the incident.
Recall that Nollywood actor Junior Pope alongside three of his colleagues drowned recently in Anam river while returning from a movie shoot.
This has raised concern about the risk associated with travelling on water and it’s attendant effects.
In as much as accidents occurs in all means of transportation including land and air, but the chances of getting drowned when involved in water accidents can be curtailed with the aid of life jacket.
In the case of Junior Pope, largely, his death was attributed to carelessness, as many believed he could have survived if only he had life jacket. As it was evident in two of his colleagues that wore the jacket and were easily rescued after the boat mishap.
