Nollywood star, Williams Uchemba have expressed a great concern on the choice of outfits women wear to the gym these days.
He took to his Instagram handle on Thursday to beg women not to be the reason why so many men won’t make heaven.
He also revealed that, due to this trend, he stopped going to public gym because of his desire to “make heaven.”
He said, “Ladies how far? Should all the men not come to the gym again? Because it’s getting out of hand and becoming appalling, I don tire. Make una try to dey wear beta cloth come gym nau, what is this?
“There are men that have made up their minds to make the heavenly race and na una dey plenty for gym. Whoever that sells these clothes to you people, their shop go burn down because what is going on? Every single time one comes to the gym, wetin you no plan see you must see am.
“Una don make up una mind say no man in this Nigeria will make heaven but It won’t work because I’ve left the gym for una, I’ve set up a gym in my house because I cannot cope, I want to make heaven. You will have 20 people in the gym, 300 are women, doing exercises.
“Have conscience, men are people’s children too, I’m speaking for all the men and we need to make heaven.”
Reactions
Meanwhile there has been a mixed reaction regarding his lamentation over the women’s gym outfits.
A social media user, Lord Harmony said “He will continue lamenting as far as he is questioning the resolve of people’s mentality. We don’t really have a just reason as to why we do the things we do, we just follow the crowd man”.
Another user said “My dear, many of them dey olosho business and na hook up them find come gym. I speak with experience. If you allow them, them go open small room near gyms where them go dey collect small small knacking. God help us for heavenly race sake”
However, Mr Bong tries to justify whatever they wear hence it’s meant for sporting. He rather suggests that the responsibility is on the man to control his mindset.
He said “You need to work on your mindset brother man. Athletes wear pants and it’s normal because people reset their mindsets to making it look normal. Those gym ladies are not different from athletes who runs with only pants. Work on your mindset about women, else you will do something funny and later regret it.
The only woman that can move me is the one that always dress decently and eventually see her wearing only pant in a closet.
You see those wearing pants on the street? I see them as ashawo and my body can’t move because of how they dress because I see it as a normal thing for her. This is how my mindset work with women. So focus on your wife and leave the daughters of jezebel alone”
